Software Requirements
The following basic software requirements are required for online courses.
- Active E-mail Account
- Operating System:
- Windows (2000, XP, Vista)
- Macintosh (10.2 or Higher)
- Internet Browser:
- Internet Explorer 6.0 or newer
- Netscape Navigator 7.1 or newer
- AOL 9 or newer
- Mozilla Firefox 1.0.3 or newer
- Safari 1.1, 1.2 or newer
- Additional Software:
- Word Processing Software (recommend: Microsoft Word)
- Free Software Downloads:
- Adobe Flash Player
- Adobe Acrobat Reader version 7 or newer
- Real Video Player
- Apple QuickTime
- PowerPoint Viewer (If you do not have Microsoft PowerPoint.)
- Word Viewer (If you do not have Microsoft Word.)
Hardware Requirements
Computer hardware requirements will depend upon the technical level of your online course or program (A, B, or C), as determined by your instructor. Most online courses will require Level B, with some requiring Level C if students meet “live” using a Web camera or audio headset/microphone.
Please refer to your course syllabus (available approximately 1 week prior to your course start date) or your instructor for more information.
