Tuition & Assistance Programs
Tuition & Fees
Tuition for online courses is charged at the North Dakota resident tuition rate per credit, regardless of the total credits in which you are enrolled or your actual residency status.
This means that you will receive the same rate of tuition as a North Dakota student for online, semester-based courses no matter where you live!

Online/Distance Course Fees
Tuition and fees are subject to change without notice. Additional program and/or course fees may apply.3
1Online course tuition is not covered under UND’s tuition cap for full-time students. Regardless of how many credits you take per term, you will pay tuition for each online course credit.
2Mandatory student fees are assessed for the first 12 credits you take per Fall or Spring Semester or for the first 9 credits you take per Summer Semester. If you take more credits per term at UND, you will not be assessed for any additional student fees above the mandatory fee cap. Refer to Student Account Services for a full description of mandatory fees.
3UND students fully admitted to select majors may be charged an additional program fee. Refer to Student Account Services for a list of the current semester's program fees. Course fees may vary for courses outside of your program's main department/subject area.
$35 Non-Refundable Admission Fee
If you have not been previously admitted to UND, you will be assessed a 1-time, non-refundable admission fee of $35 (U.S. funds).
