Who Should Apply?
Regardless of where you live, you may earn your Graduate Certificate in Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) from the University of North Dakota. You are NOT required to come to campus at any time.
The part-time, online ASD program is designed for parents, practitioners, or professionals who work with individuals with ASD. It will provide you with the skills and tools you need to effectively address the many and varied challenges they face.
The ASD Graduate Certificate provides specialized training, research-based information, and a support network for:
- general and special educators
- speech and language pathologists
- occupational therapists
- physical therapists
- physicians
- nurses
- social workers
- parents
- anyone who works with this special population
Admission Requirements: Autistic Spectrum Disorders Graduate Certificate
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in one of the following fields:
- general education (PreK-12)
- special education
- communication disorders
- occupational therapy
- physical therapy
- pre-medicine
- nursing
- social work
- adaptive physical education
- recreation therapy
- music therapy
- An undergraduate GPA of 2.75 overall or a GPA of 3.00 in the last 2 years of your undergraduate program.
If you do not meet the admission standards, you may be admitted on a provisional basis with continued enrollment contingent on successful performance in the program.
