Step 1
Complete the UND Undergraduate Admissions Application and submit the $35 (U.S. Funds) non-refundable application fee.
Step 2
Send your High School Transcripts* to:

*If you graduated from high school in 1993 or later, you must meet the following high school core requirements:
- English (4 units)
- Math (3 units of Algebra I or above)
- Lab Science (3 units)
- Social Studies (3 units)
If you graduated from high school prior to 1993, you do not need to meet the above high school core requirements.
Step 3
Submit your Official ACT or SAT Test Scores** for the Math and Verbal Sections to:

**If you are 25 years of age or older, you do not need to meet the ACT/SAT requirement.
Step 4
IF you have completed any college-level credits, submit your Official Transcripts to:

Admission to the UND Undergraduate Communication Program
After you are admitted to UND (with Pre-Communication declared as your intended major), you must apply for full admission to the UND Undergraduate Communication Program.
In order to reach the status of a fully Admitted Major, you must:
- pass Comm 102 or 103 with a grade of "C" or better
- pass College Composition Courses (English 110/120 or English 110/125) with a grade of "B" or better
- have a 2.50 overall GPA, which must be continued in order to take courses in Communication. At graduation, your GPA must also be at least 2.50.
- have earned at least 24 semester credits
- complete an approved personal Plan of Study with your assigned faculty advisor
You are classified as Pre-Communication major until you have completed these requirements. Additional information about the separate application process to the UND Undergraduate Communication Program is available from your faculty advisor.
Upon obtaining Admitted Major status, you are eligible to take upper-level Communication classes as well as to apply for scholarships through the UND Undergraduate Communication Program.
