Begins every Fall (August), Spring (January) & Summer (June)
The University of North Dakota's Master of Education (MEd) in Educational Leadership gives you a unique opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to function effectively as an educational leader.
The MEd in Educational Leadership prepares you for prominent administrative or scholarly positions in:
- elementary schools
- middle schools
- high schools
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics the employment of education administrators is projected to grow about as fast as average, as education and training take on greater importance in everyone’s lives.
Job opportunities for many of these positions should be excellent due to:
- a large proportion of education administrators are expected to retire over the next 10 years.
- growth in enrollments of school-age children and postsecondary education, particularly in schools that cater to working adults.
- the increasing amount of administrative responsibilities placed on individual schools, particularly related to monitoring student achievement.
For specific information on the nature of the work, job outlook, and earnings, view the Occupational Outlook Handbook from the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics.
